This methodology, which emanates from the Transparency and Good Governance Council, constitutes the official system of compliance with transparency, serving to measure the application of the Transparency Law in the agencies of the different public administrations, as well as in public companies, political parties And business and trade union organizations.

Mesta also includes a self-assessment system, which facilitates comparisons between agencies, identifying lines of study and continuous improvement in compliance with the obligations imposed by the Transparency Law.

APPLICATION IN CARTAGENA

During the day the results obtained after applying the methodology to ten associations of the Region have been announced.

At this point, María José Soler has invited the president of the Council of Transparency and Good Governance and the authors of the thesis to visit the Consistory, possibly during the month of September, to guide the implementation of this methodology in the City of Cartagena .

COMMITMENT TO TRANSPARENCY

As a result of the experiences presented by other administrations, Cartagena's commitment to compliance with the Transparency Law has been verified, going beyond what is required by the norm.

Thus, María José Soler recalled the advantages that this has contributed in areas such as Contracting, where the City is collecting numerous public awards, weighting the promotion with transparency, competitive competition and the economic benefits that it reports.
