Youth is committed to training geared towards new technologies (18/07/2017)

The Department of Youth continues to bet on the organization of courses aimed at young people that allows them a training oriented to emerging new professions related to new technologies, as is the case of the course Development of applications for virtual reality, which has been held During the first half of July, and whose diplomas were delivered on Friday to participants in the same.

This initiative responds to the demand of professionals with this type of training, which is on the rise and affects a wide and varied business sector.

There are many companies that recognize in the virtual reality a potential of development of their products and, in fact, two of the young participants in this course will be hired in September, and two others are collaborating in video game development projects.

COLLABORATION WITH THE EECIC

This training, which completes the training started with two other courses on 2D and 3D environments taught at the premises of the Department of Youth, has been developed in the Smart Room of CEEIC, equipped with the latest technology for the development of training In technology 4.0 and which has been designed to host the Smart I4.0 project, which is the first Entrepreneurship and Training program for Industry 4.0, funded by the European Social Fund through the Incyde Foundation.

Thus, the cooperation between the Department of Youth and the CEEIC from the Lean Emprende Program as an entrepreneurship resource for beneficiaries of Youth Guarantee, has allowed the development of this Virtual Reality course in facilities with the latest technology, thus improving the Service for young people.

As a result, young participants have acquired knowledge in C # (Object Oriented Programming), graphic design, animation, 3D modeling and texturing, as well as gaining the knowledge needed to work with Unity 3D software, understand their API and interface Of user among other tools of this program.

The students who have participated in the three courses developed to acquire training and training in creating virtual environments have developed a total of 15 different applications in both 2D and 3D environments, most of them for Virtual Reality, with support for mobile devices and The viewfinder HTC lives, generating multiple systems of interaction with the different components of the scene.

For all those young people interested in training in these new professional branches that include working with drones, 3D printing, virtual environments, etc., the Department of Youth has scheduled for October a course given the need to provide specific training to meet the demand for Qualified personnel in these new technologies.

The course is aimed at young people between 16 and 30 years old, preferably enrolled in Youth Guarantee.
