Firefighters of the Fire Extinguishing Service and Rescue (SEIS) of the City of Cartagena suffocated in the early hours of this Sunday morning the fire event produced in the auditorium of the Polytechnic Institute, located in the Virgen de la Caridad neighborhood.
A notice from the Local Police at seven in the morning informing that large amounts of smoke exited the institute alerted the Firefighters, who quickly moved to the place a light urban truck bomb and a team composed of four firefighters, a driver and a cape.
On arrival a security guard informed them that the smoke came from the auditorium.
Upon entering they discovered a small spot located in a room behind the stage, which quickly extinguished.
According to the Firemen, apparently the lack of fuel near the focus prevented the spread of the fire.
