Twelve beaches of Cartagena receive the Q Flag of Tourism Quality (26/06/2017)

Cartagena is the municipality of the Region of Murcia with the highest number of Q flags of Tourism Quality, by granting the Institute for Tourism Quality (ICTE) 12 of these badges, which has received this Monday, June 26, the Councilor for Tourism, Obdulia Gómez.

This 2017, ICTE has awarded this badge to 236 beaches and 19 nautical-sport facilities throughout Spain, of which 37 are from the Region.

In Cartagena the beaches that have received the Q flags of Tourist Quality are Cala Cortina, Cala del Pino, Islas Menores, Mar de Cristal, Playa de la Gola, Playa de Levante, Playa del Barco Perdido, Playa del Cavanna, Playa del Galúa, Playa Honda, Playa Paraiso and San Ginés.

The mayor of Tursimo has collected these awards in the Ministry of Industry, Energy and Tourism, in an event that has been chaired by the Secretary of State for Tourism, Matilde Pastora Asián, and ICTE President Miguel Mirones.

ICTE audits include aspects such as cleanliness, good conditions of facilities, accessibility, services to tourists such as hotel establishments, safety and first aid and a good level of information.

To obtain it, the optimal hygienic-sanitary conditions are also analyzed with waters suitable for bathing.

CANINE BEACHES

On the other hand, a proposal has been issued to the Citizen Consultation to enable beaches where dogs are allowed access.

These beaches are El Vivero in La Manga, the estuary of the rambla of Lo Poyo, Cobaticas in Calblanque and the Colonies in El Cañar of Isla Plana.

"With this citizen consultation, we intend to make Cartagena think about this issue and about the four beaches we have proposed, with this and with what the competent bodies, which are Costas and the Office of Socioeconomic Impact of the Environment ( OISMA), a modification of the text of the municipal ordinance to be published in the Official Gazette will be made public, "explained the Councilor for Tourism.
