Cartagena celebrates this Saturday International Yoga Day with demonstrations of different disciplines (16/06/2017)

On the occasion of the International Yoga Day, which will be celebrated next Wednesday, June 21, Cartagena has organized a day that will take place this Saturday, June 17, loaded with activities and demonstrations for the Cartagena people to discover and participate in this ancient discipline .

This was announced by the Councilor for Sports, Ricardo Segado, in a presentation that was attended by the president of the Aquarius Association, Antonio Valera;

The head of the Yogamaiga School, María del Carmen Fernández;

The representative of the cultural association Sahaja Yoga, Fina Ros;

And Lola Monís of Kundalini Yoga.

The mayor of Sports has expressed his satisfaction that Cartagena welcomes the celebration of Yoga Day in the Region of Murcia, and has emphasized the support of the council that runs for this type of activities "that enrich the cultural and sports life of Our municipality ".

Thus, the programming has been designed to be carried out in a public square as it is the Town Hall Square to give visibility to the methods to be practiced.

Mowed has encouraged the Cartagena people to pass through the square and participate in the activities.

The day will begin at 19.30 hours, with an opening act to be carried out by the mayor of Cartagena, José López, and will also have the presence of the Councilor for Sports.

After the inauguration, the different scheduled activities will start, with a demonstration of Iyengar, from 20.00 to 20.45 hours.

At 21:00, the participants and interested parties will be able to practice the Yug Yoga modality and, at 10.00 pm, Lola Monís will conduct a static Kundalini and meditation exercise.

An hour later, at 11:00 pm, Fina Ros will take the witness in a demonstration of Sahaja, with which she will seek to awaken the inner energy through meditation and that allows to balance the emotions and to bring peace in the day to day to the assistants .

Finally, towards midnight, the closing of the day is scheduled, with exhibitions of Bhangra, traditional Hindu dance and the performance of the Sahaya Musical Group.
