More than 120 athletes from around the world will gather in Cartagena this Saturday, June 17, at the IBFF World Championship.
This was announced this Thursday, June 15, the Cartagena Area Councilor for Sports, Ricardo Segado, who has been accompanied by the IBFF Spain president, Pablo Cerón;
And the vice president, Jorge Vázquez.
Thus, Cartagena hosts the first celebration of this championship of bodybuilding that takes place in Spain, and which will have the presence of athletes from 12 countries.
There will be 20 Spanish representatives, among whom are the two Cartagena Tania Martinez and Francisco Páez, to whom the mayor of Sports has wanted success in their participation.
The championship will take place in the Wsell Sports Pavilion in Guimbarda from 10.00 a.m. to 2 p.m., and from 4 p.m. to 9 p.m., and will have a total of 18 categories, from junior, under 23 to over 60 and female category .
After the competition, a professional event has been scheduled with athletes who have won world championships and big slams.
Among the professionals who will participate in this day will be the Spanish Raul Umberto or the Indian Wasim Khan, as well as representatives from different European countries such as Slovenia or Italy.
The competition will be made by categories defined according to height and weight.
Also categories by age.

If any Spaniard wins in his category, he will access the professional card and will be able to make his debut in the professional category.
At the same time, Ricardo Segado recalled the commitment of the council that directs that Cartagena becomes a benchmark for bodybuilding and fitness and has shown its support in organizing minority sports championships.
Finally, he stressed that athletes can enjoy the city and its climate during the day of Saturday.
