The Councilor for Finance, Contracting and Patrimony, Isabel García, participated this morning in the meetings of the Board of Directors and the Extraordinary General Meeting of 'Cartagena Joven'.
The meeting of the Board of Directors has begun taking into account the current situation of the project, as well as of the efforts made by the company.
Admitted to the agenda, the reason for the resignation presented in writing by the counselor Jacinto Martínez Moncada was taken.
After the cessation, the councilor, Isabel García, has been named as new proxy.
In representation of the municipal society Casco Antiguo (the municipal entity that owns shares in 'Cartagena Joven').
Subsequently, the Extraordinary General Meeting has appointed Garcia as the new president to replace Martínez Moncada.
The most noteworthy of the meeting was the interest shown by the mayor of the local government asking and requesting the start of the procedures for the construction of a traffic control roundabout at the height of 'Residencial Buenos Aires'.
This infrastructure would replace the current half roundabouts to increase safety on the RM-332ª road, regional ownership, being one of the route with a higher accident rate on our roads.
'Cartagena Joven' was established in 2005 between the City of Cartagena, Caja Murcia and promoters to carry out the project 'Residencial Buenos Aires', in an area close to Molinos Marfagones.
