Communiqué of MC regarding information that refers to a complaint filed for the termination of expropriation of a building in Cuatro Santos Street (09/06/2017)

Given the information gathered in various media about the investigation opened in a court after the complaint of the councilman of the popular municipal group Francisco Espejo for the completion of the process of expropriation of a building in Calle Cuatro Santos, MC Cartagena makes the following statements:

- That we do not know the content of the judicial procedure, reason why it is impossible to make any consideration in the respect.

- That in the administrative procedure of this expropriation, as in all others since June 2015, MC councilors have acted in accordance with technical and legal criteria and procedures.

- That this has been demonstrated at all times, being part of the defamation strategy maintained by the PP against our party for having been the one who uncovered and uncovered, with his daily work, the corrupt plots of previous management.

The last alleged illegality that has transpired refers to a work that, once again, was able to favor Mr. Alonso with public money.

- That in particular we consider that Mr. Espejo seeks redress through the unfounded complaint (when we know it may be a crime of slander), his misconduct in management and his multiple and repeated disagreements with legality in his political action Where he has held positions of responsibility.

- That, likewise, we are studying the possible existence of conflicts of interest between the extension of the administrative building in the expropriated property and a hotel business in which some councilor of the PP participated.

- That, without prejudice to the explanations that will be offered in court to be summoned to declare a member of the municipal group MC, we want to remember that it is a file that was closed in 2017;

12 years after its beginning in 2005, being City Councilor Agustín Guillén, and to which they have happened in these works before this legislature Joaquín Segado and Francisco Espejo.

- That there is a Commission of Inquiry from the municipal plenary in which the PP, through its councilman Alvaro Valdés, has tried to boycott the full investigation, as it has been public for a few dates.

- And, finally, reiterate our commitment to the legality and responsible management of public money, remembering that precisely the operation was carried out because the regional PP boycotted the acquisition of the Central Cinema, paying 100,000 euros more than the price agreed, property in Which have not taken any action since.
