Emilio Martínez Navarro (Cartagena, Spain, 1958), is a Professor of Moral and Political Philosophy at the University of Murcia, where he teaches the History of Political and Social Ideas, History of Contemporary Political Thought, Bioethics and Professionalism, Development Ethics And Problems and Debates around Democracy.

Puyol has recently published the book "THE RIGHT TO FRATERNITY" (Catarata, Madrid 2017).

In it he argues that to affirm that the fraternity has been historically the great forgotten of the French revolutionary triad is nothing more than an obvious finding.

But to maintain, from this, that the place occupied by that noble category occupies it now, solidarity constitutes a severe conceptual confusion (these are concepts with different determinations).

In the same way that nothing more distant from the spirit of the fraternity than to be content with the generalization of certain affections, as does a certain light fraternity (closer to the insubstantial world is good than the Republican value in its own sense).

In fact, the list of misunderstandings around the fraternity could be expanded much more.

But precisely because the list would become long, it is worth, instead of trying to reconstruct and criticize it, the author invites the reader to delve into the pages of this book.

In it you will find a point of view as original as it is stimulating, that of the vindication of fraternity as a right.

It is not a question, of course, of promoting the imposition of a certain type of affection, but of recognizing that no one, absolutely no one (since there are no first brothers and second brothers), should be excluded from the benefits and burdens of Life in society.
