The Council of the Economic Strategy Area of ​​the City of Cartagena, through the Markets Bureau, has published the list of sellers who have obtained a license to exercise the street vending in the nearly 1,600 stalls of the municipal markets, To date, was made for a period of one year and now, as a novelty and as it is contained in the Law of Sale Ambulante of the Region of Murcia, will have a duration of 12 years, extendable by another 12 more.

This resolution ends the process of renewal of licenses that began in January, and has resulted in the revocation of twelve licenses, both for repeated unexcused absences and for outstanding debts with the administration, which will begin to increase the list of vacancies.

Ana Belén Castejón, deputy mayor and head of the Economic Strategy Area, stated that "once the Ambulante Sale Regulation is finally approved, we will set up the Municipal Board of Ambulante Sale and from that moment on, it will open a period of improvement of posts And subsequently, the final list of vacancies will be published ".

In total, the number of vacancies currently vacant and pending adjudication amounts to 346, distributed among the markets of El Algar, La Aljorra, La Azohía, Barrio Peral, Barriada San Cristobal, Los Belones, Cabo de Palos, Los Dolores , Islas Menores, Isla Plana, Llano del Beal, Los Nietos, La Palma, Strait Well, Ribera San Javier, Urbanización Mediterráneo and Los Urrutias.
