The Mandarache Project for the training of readers, promoted by the Department of Youth of the City of Cartagena, has been distinguished in the awards 'The Best' awarded every two years by the newspaper La Verdad with the aim of publicly recognizing talent, commitment And exemplary projects and people with a valuable contribution to the improvement of society.
This is the first regional recognition that receives the project after the distinction of the National Prize for Promotion of reading in 2014.
Thus, along with the Mandarache, the other outstanding figures and projects that have been recognized their work this time by the writing of The Truth are the researcher and professor of Optics Pablo Artal, the singer and two times Lamp Mining in La Union Encarnación Fernández and The social platform Pact for the Mar Menor in defense of the lagoon.
The prizes will be presented this Friday, May 26, at a gala that will take place in the Auditorium Víctor Villegas de Murcia, to which the entire Promoting Group of the Mandarache Project has been invited.
Thus, some of its members will go up to collect the prize along with the Councilor of the Area of ​​Youth of Cartagena, Ricardo Segado, and three young readers participating in this year's edition, which ended recently.
In addition, on the occasion of the delivery of these prizes, 'La Verdad' will publish this Saturday the magazine 'Los Mejores', which will offer a tour through 50 pages for the work and trajectory of the winners.
The magazine will be presented together with the newspaper and will include interviews, reports, opinion articles and photographs, in a publication dedicated to show and value the achievements and the baggage of the four winners.
