The Local Government Board, chaired by the mayor, José López, approved this morning a collaboration agreement between the Department of Youth, directed by Ricardo Segado, and the Young Symphony Orchestra of Cartagena (JOSCT).
The purpose of the agreement is the promotion and interpretation of music in all its variants, through the study and adaptation of musical compositions, famous or popular and the interpretation of the same in concerts and public events in the municipality.
Through this agreement, the Council will contribute to the JOSCT 10,000 euros, during this year.
SUBSIDIES FOR YOUTH COLLECTIVES
Also on proposal of this same area of ​​government, the Board has approved the bases of the call for subsidies to youth groups in 2017, for the amount of 40,000 euros.
The purpose of these grants will be the promotion and support of actions that foster youth associations, stimulate the operation of youth groups, and support cultural, social, training and leisure initiatives that facilitate youth participation.
CONVENTION WITH DECATHLON
Finally, and among other issues and within this same area of ​​government, a collaboration agreement has been approved between the Department of Sports and Decathlon Cartagena to sponsor activities, through the provision of sports equipment by the company in exchange for Advertising in events and sports activities during 2017.
