The Auditorium El Batel will host the II Meeting of Music Bands of Cartagena.

For the second year this event is celebrated in which the four main bands of the city will offer the public a sample of their repertoire.

The Musical Group Sauces, the Santa Cecilia Musical Artistic Society, the Cartagonova Musical Union and the Nuestra Señora de la Soledad Musical Grouping will climb to the tables of El Batel to play pieces ranging from the classic pasodobles to adaptations of soundtracks of films like Harry Potter and the West Side Story.

An opportunity to enjoy the live music of four consolidated musical groups, all awarded in musical contests, which also work in the musical formation of its members and the new generations of musicians.

In the program planned for next Saturday the Sauces Musical Group will play the works: the Andalusian Sky Pasodoble, the Harry Potter Symphony Suite and Give Us This Day by David Maslanka;

SAM Santa Cecilia has prepared: Santiaguista Pride, Federico Sueca's Bateo and Cançons de Mare by Rafael Talens;

The Musical Union Cartagonova will take the stage to play: the pasodoble The grace of God, Pique Dame de F. Von Suppe and the symphonic poem Tierra Mítica;

And the Musical Group Nuestra Señora de la Soledad will offer to the audience its interpretation of the pasodoble El Juli, a musical arrangement of West Side Story, Appalachian Overture and the work El Cumbachero.

The City of Cartagena organizes this musical event to be held next Saturday May 6 at 19:00 hours, and is integrated into the activities for the Year of the Enlightenment.
