Juan Antonio Otón has patented the 'recogecan', a new product that allows to collect the feces of the dogs before they fall to the public way, avoiding to have to bend down by them.

This Cartagena citizen has invented this injected plastic, very light and resistant, consisting of a ring that holds the bag to collect the depositions of dogs at the tip of an extendible rod.

The cartagenero tells how he was inspired in this project picking figs from shovel.

As he did so, he watched as his dog defecated in the street, thinking that if he placed an instrument similar to the one he used in the collection, between the dog and the ground, he would avoid getting the pavement dirty.

Thanks to this portable toilet, owners of pets will not have to bend down to collect feces and also, thanks to gravity, the bag closes easily, thus avoiding both the possibility of getting our hands dirty, as the public way .

Juan Antonio has patented his idea as a device that intercepts dog feces in its fall between it and the ground, in a way that ensures the exclusive production of his invention.

The product is marketed through the website 'recogecan', and is currently distributed in Spain and Andorra, in addition to having reached in just 1 week after its launch in 4 provinces.

Next week they will arrive in France, and they plan to distribute the product in veterinary clinics and specialized stores.

The project has received the main collaboration of the Local Development and Employment Agency of the City of Cartagena.
