The California Brotherhood celebrated this Wednesday, March 29, the traditional Salve Grande in honor of the Virgin of the First Pain, which crowded the church of Santa Maria de Gracia of faithful who did not want to miss the most important liturgical celebration of Lent for the Californians.
The mass was presided over by the chaplain of the brotherhood, Rvdo.
Francisco de Asís Pagán, and was attended by the mayor of Cartagena, José López, and the Deputy Mayor, Ana Belén Castejón, in addition to the Councilors of Quality of Life, Francisco Calderón;
Hacienda, Isabel García;
Social Services, Carmen Martín;
Transparency, María José Soler;
And Culture, David Martínez.

The preacher of the Holy Week, Ginés Fernández;
And the Processionist of the Year, Francisco de la Cerra, as well as the Elder Brothers of the four passionate brotherhoods of Cartagena.
La Salve Grande takes place on Wednesday of the week of Californian acts, in the church of Santa Maria de Gracia.
During the liturgy, which began at 8.30 pm, the Carthagonova Choir, led by Pedro Andrés García, and the organist Iban Huertas, as well as the Sauces Musical Group, were conducted by Álvaro Pintado.
Both before the celebration and at the end of it, the faithful who so wished could participate in the cloistered procession that took place inside the church, carrying illuminated axes and opening the shroud of the brotherhood.
Likewise, after the liturgical celebration, the mayor, the Councilor for Culture and the councilor of Transparency moved to the restaurant La Cartuja, where the brotherhood dinner of the brotherhood took place, at 10:15 p.m.
