The Minister of Family and Equality of Opportunities, Violante Tomás, today visited the collective housing of older people 'San Luis', in Cartagena, where her Department finances, through the Murcian Institute of Social Action IMAS, with more than 60,000 euros six places .

This center offers permanent housing and comprehensive care for the elderly who can not be cared for in their own homes, for it has social, rehabilitation and occupational care services, as well as the possibility of participating in socio-cultural and recreational activities .

The house, a ground floor without architectural barriers, is privately owned, began its activity in 2009 and has been adapted to serve as a residential center.
