MC, PSOE and CTSSP will request that the legal services of the City Council study the possibility of denouncing CARM for non-compliance with the Rosell Law (21/02/2017)

The municipal groups MC, PSOE and CTSSP will require, in the plenary session next Thursday, February 23, that the legal services of the City of Cartagena expedite, study and contemplate the possibility of denouncing the regional Executive for non-compliance with Law 3/2016, Of 21 of March for the operation one hundred percent of the hospital Santa Maria del Rosell like general hospital, since at present it is not doing it as mandated by the Regional Assembly.

This call was motivated by the publication, by the Murcian Health Service (SMS), of the data showing that Cartagena is still above the regional average in terms of delays suffered by patients to be cared for by a doctor Specialist and to be operated on surgically.

Among the data published by the SMS itself, it should be noted that the citizens of Area II have to wait 11 months (332 days) to be seen by a rheumatologist and 8 months (246 days) to be seen by a pulmonologist.

Failure to comply with the Law for the full functioning of the Rosell Hospital

In order to put an end to this circumstance and the discrimination suffered by our region, it is imperative to comply with Law 3/2016 of March 21, for the full functioning of the Santa Maria del Rosell Hospital as a general hospital, an issue that today is not yet known Has carried out, breaching the regional Executive Legislative mandate.

The spokesman of the Municipal Group MC, Francisco Calderón, has highlighted the importance that this Law has for the Region of Cartagena.

Therefore, "I regret the decision of the PP and Citizens not to adhere to this motion," he said.

Likewise, he concluded by saying that "from the City of Cartagena we will continue to take the necessary steps to ensure that all citizens of the Region have the same rights in matters of Health".
