The Regional Confederation of Business Organizations of Cartagena, together with the Chamber of Commerce of Cartagena, have delivered to the social dining room of Caritas, "Jesus, Teacher and Pastor," the check with € 4,500 of the IV Gymkhana Solidarity.
The IV Gymkhana Solidaria, celebrated last January 14, managed to raise 9,000 euros that have gone to the Little Sisters of the Poor and the dining room that Caritas.
Pedro Pablo Hernández, president of COEC, and Miguel Martínez, president of the Chamber of Commerce, have been able to visit the facilities located on Jorge Juan Street where, each day, seven volunteers are in charge of serving food for sixty people without resources.
From Cáritas they have shown their gratitude to initiatives like Gymkhana Solidaria and the entrepreneurs who have been involved in it, putting all their effort in raising the maximum money possible to help the people who need it the most.
On the other hand, Pedro Pablo Hernández has transmitted that "the implication of COEC and the employers whom it represents does not end here and will continue to actively collaborate with Caritas so that the people they serve always have a plate of food in the table".
Miguel Martínez stressed the words of Pedro Pablo Hernández and said that "it is always a pleasure to help those who need it most in these difficult times."
The involvement of the business community of the Region is already latent through an initiative that was launched in late 2016 and brings together entrepreneurs on the first Friday of each month in a meal in the social dining room of Cáritas.
