Unanimous support to the motion of the PP to declare of National Tourist Interest to the carnival of Cartagena (16/02/2017)

The carnivals of Cartagena have received this morning the push of the Regional Assembly on their way to obtain the declaration of Festivals of National Tourist Interest.

It has been an initiative promoted by the Popular Party that has obtained the unanimous support of the rest of parliamentary groups.

The deputy of the Pp in the Regional Assembly, Rosario Montero, who has been responsible for defending the initiative, has remarked from the Carnival carnivals its long tradition, dating back to the end of the eighteenth century, and especially highlighted its rise from the years 80 when they recover thanks to the president of the Federation of Carnival, Juan Martinez.

Rosario Montero believes that the work developed over the years has been incessant, which has led them to obtain recognition of regional tourist attractions.
