The Aula Theater Workshop of the Loft dependent on the City Council of Cartagena, in collaboration with the Platform for the Performing Arts of Cartagena, represents next March 3 at the Caja Mediterráneo Foundation the work 'Mediopueblo', by the Argentine writer Martín Giner.
Thus, the theatrical performance is part of the activities scheduled for the celebration of World Theater Day and will take place at 20.30 hours, with tickets available at the price of 5 euros.
'Mediopueblo', directed by Giner and represented by the Argentine actor Gabriel Carreras, raises the history of a town divided in two.
In this way, the modern half, which is entering the industrial revolution, and the old half, which still remains in the Middle Ages, are divided by a single street, where encounters and friction are inevitable.
The play, in a tone of comedy, details the chain of events that occur from the fall of a button to a catastrophe that affects both halves.
The aesthetic proposal is that the people are physically on stage, represented by more than 50 ragdolls, each with a face, clothes and a different story.
The text has been represented by different groups in several countries, collecting excellent reviews and awards at various festivals such as the National Theater Festival 2009, the Ibero-American Theater Festival in Mar del Plata.
He has also received prizes Artea, which grants the Association of actors from Argentina, to best original music and best direction, among others.
