The City Council requests the creation of a green corridor in the Mar Menor, instead of storm tanks (24/01/2017)

The plenary of the Cartagena City Council today approved within the section dedicated to the initiatives of the political groups a joint motion of MC, PSOE and CTSSP, urging the CARM Government that the investments for new storm tanks contemplated in the budgets of The Autonomous Community for 2017 are destined to the construction of a "green corridor" perimeter to the Mar Menor to stop the arrival of contaminated water to the lagoon.

The initiative has obtained the support of the Councilors of Citizens, in addition to those of the proponent groups, and the abstention of the PP.

PERSON NON GRATA IN CARTAGENA

Another initiative approved by today's plenary was the one presented by the groups of MC, PSOE and CTSSP in favor of the continuity of the activity in the public airport of San Javier.
