The Heritage Council will meet on Wednesday to continue working jointly with the municipal government. The Councilor for Culture and Heritage will also inform about the actions being carried out in the surroundings of Cerro del Molinete (10/01/2017)

The Historic Heritage Council of Cartagena will meet tomorrow, starting at 5:00 pm, at Palacio Molina, under the chairmanship of the councilor for Culture and Heritage, Ricardo Segado.

This body will address various issues such as the work being done by the Working Group on the Year of the Enlightenment, while collecting the proposals and opinions of the groups on the commemoration of this historic period.

Likewise, in relation to the information about the action of the local government on El Molinete and in order to clear any doubts, the councilman of the area of ​​Culture and Heritage, Ricardo Segado, will inform and address the issues that arise On the actions that are being carried out in this archaeological environment.

It should be recalled that last July, Ricardo Segado and the municipal coordinator of Historical and Archaeological Heritage, Mari Carmen Berrocal, held a meeting with representatives of different groups that have among their purposes the defense of the tangible and intangible heritage of the city to give Form this advisory council that will meet again tomorrow.

In addition to the official chroniclers of Cartagena, members of the Monte Miral association attended this first meeting;

The Virgen de la Caridad Citizen Platform;

The Windlass Coordinator;

Civic Convergence;

Cartagena of my soul;

Sierra Minera Foundation;

The Association of Defense of Historical Heritage (DAPHNE);

The Heritage Defense Association (ADEPA);

The Instituto Cartagenero de Investigaciones Históricos (INCIS);

The Rural League of the Field of Cartagena;

The Federation of Neighborhood Associations of Cartagena and Comarca (FAVCAC), and the Association of Friends of the Monastery of San Ginés de la Jara.

In this way, a coordinated work has been established from the area of ​​Culture and Heritage in view of the present and future challenges of the enormous heritage of Cartagena, promoting the participation of this framework of analysis and dialogue to the main authorized voices of the Cartagena heritage.
