The surroundings of the Palace of Sports will house the greater concentration of plants in a garden of the municipal term (28/12/2016)

The councilor of the Area of ​​Quality of Life, Health, Consumption and Environment, Francisco José Calderón, and the general director of Infrastructure, Manuel Nicolás, visited Wednesday the final phase of the garden that is running in the area next to the Palacio de Sports.

It is a unique garden that brings together more than 9,000 plants of about 60 different species, which makes it the largest concentration of plants in a space in the municipal area of ​​Cartagena.

In the execution of this garden, projected internally by the Department of Infrastructures with the collaboration, in its design, of the UPCT through a chair, have participated from the municipal brigades in the movement of land and conformation of the same with the hills that It is characterized by agricultural engineers for the choice of plant, industrial engineers for electrical subjects, architects, surveyors and road engineers for the facilities and constructions that are carried out in their interior including a pond with a waterfall.

In this way, each one has contributed his knowledge and experience so that Cartagena has a spectacular landscape environment that the citizens can visit.

On the other hand, they have also visited the facilities of the future Municipal Nursery and urban orchard, where are finishing the greenhouses and umbrellas that will provide Cartagena with a facility that will produce plants to landscaping the different green areas of the city.
