Cartagena has a date this weekend with the Group Aesthetic Gymnastics.
On 17 and 18 December, the Pavilion Wssell de Guimbarda will host the 1st phase of the Spanish Cup of Esthetic Group Gymnastics, which will bring together 500 gymnasts from different points of geography.
The event was presented this morning by the councilman of Sports, Ricardo Segado, along with members of the Gymnastics Federation, such as Francisca Martinez and Rosa Blaya.
The 1st phase of the Spanish Cup of Aesthetic Gymnastics Group, which has the collaboration of the City of Cartagena through its Department of Sports, will bring gymnasts from 45 teams across the geography: from Andalusia, Catalonia, Madrid or Castilla la Stain among others, in which it is conformed as the first qualifying phase of the total 6 international and 4 national phases.
The exhibitions, which mark the beginning of the 2016/2017 season of this sport, will be held on Saturday, 17 from 12:00 to 14:00 hours with the preliminaries of children, in the afternoon from 17:00 to 19:00 hours with The junior and senior preliminaries, and on Sunday 18 from 9:00 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. with the final of all categories
The president of the Spanish Association of Aesthetic Gymnastics Group, Francisca Martínez, has indicated that in these exhibitions will see new assemblies and compositions, highlighting the growth of participation compared to previous years, since it has been close to double.
The Councilor for Sports, Ricardo Segado, has wished the competition to be a success, thanking the trust of the organization to celebrate it in Cartagena.
In addition, the mayor has indicated that it is a pride for the City Council to be part of the great family that is the Group Aesthetic Gymnastics.
