A documentary shows the challenge of Andres Lledo, the Path of the Conquerors (30/11/2016)

The Auditorium of the Polytechnic University of Cartagena hosted today, November 29, the presentation of a documentary on the day to day of Andrés Lledó during the Trail of the Conquerors, the challenge that carried out the Cartagena athlete last April In Costa Rica, which covered 400 kilometers in a week.

The Councilor for Sports, Ricardo Segado, has presented this documentary to more than three hundred people, mostly students from a dozen institutes in the municipality.

In the act have also participated, among others, the own Andres Lledó and the general director of Jimbo Fresh, Miguel Angel Jiménez.

Ricardo Segado has indicated that it is a pleasure and a pride to meet people like Andrés Lledó, who with his challenges has become a reference both in the sports aspect and in the humanitarian, being an example of overcoming and sacrifice for all.

Likewise, the mayor thanked the students of the institutes that collaborated in the collection of one hundred kilos of school material that were taken to Costa Rica.

Also, Segado has highlighted the great work of the company JimboFresh, and thanks to its support has been possible the realization of this challenge and therefore the documentary.

For his part, Lledó has highlighted the pride of presenting this documentary in his city.

With this we intend to bring the story that took us for eight days to cross the wonderful country of Costa Rica.

The athlete has assured that after showing it in Cartagena, the intention is that it be known nationally and internationally to be able to disseminate its experience.

The documentary, which lasts about half an hour, aims to convey a message of sport and humanity, discovering a country quite unknown, noted Andrés Lledó.

After the screening of the documentary, a round of questions from the public has been established, where Lledó has addressed the questions and doubts of the students.

PATH OF THE CONQUERORS

Last April 2016 Andrés Lledó completed the Path of the Conquerors challenge, consisting of crossing Costa Rica running for 400 kilometers over seven stages for eight days, assisted by a team of nine people, to cover the athlete and To record a documentary that collected the sport challenge and to record the beauty of the country and its people.

During the challenge, organized by the company JimboFresh, various cooperation activities were carried out with local schools, as well as school supplies, sports equipment and talks in educational and social centers, establishing a dialogue around the values ​​of sport, The importance of education, studies and, above all, the importance of solidarity and being able to see the world as a diverse and plural scenario where we can all live together.

Prior to the expedition to Costa Rica, both the mayor, José López, and the councilor of Sports, received Andrés Lledó to learn firsthand the challenge and wish him luck.

Likewise, once the route was finished and back in Cartagena, López and Segado again met with the ultrafondista Cartagena and the rest of the team, with the intention of congratulating them for their deed, highlighting the pride that the city has to count on An athlete of his level.

NEXT CHALLENGE CHALLENGES
