Cartagena will be heard on the International Day for the Elimination of Violence against Women (24/11/2016)

Friday, November 25, is the International Day for the Elimination of Violence against Women.

For this reason, different activities will be held in the city to combat stereotypes and promote equal opportunities and combat violence against women.

Organized by the Department of Equality within the campaign Paint your world of orange.

Leave your mark: put an end to violence against women and girls, at 11:00 in the morning there will be an event in Plaza San Sebastián that will consist of a concentration and a poetic reading, Love me free.

The event will have the collaboration of several groups and associations of women, and the assistance of members of the municipal corporation.

In the afternoon, at 7:00 pm, the Feminist Platform March 8, with the participation of various social groups, will also raise the voice in Plaza San Sebastián with the reading of a manifesto.

In addition, there will be an urban theatrical action, Love Me Free, by La Murga Theater.

The mayor of Cartagena, José López, the deputy mayor, Ana Belén Castejón, and the councilors Isabel García, Carmen Martín and David Martínez are planning to join these events for the International Day for the Elimination of Violence against Women.
