The UPCT collaborate with the University of Granada in the intelligent management of underwater drones (21/10/2016)

The Polytechnic University of Cartagena (UPCT) will collaborate with the University of Granada in the development of attendees modules to control the fleet of autonomous underwater vehicles.

This has been one of the partnerships that have drawn researchers from the Polytechnic of Cartagena during the technical seminar scenarios in which researchers from the Universities of Murcia, Granada and Cartagena involved.

According to Professor UPCT Antonio Guerrero, who presented the control system of the submarine fleet vehicles being developed, they have been proposed collaborations with the University of Granada to develop artificial intelligence modules.

As for the benefits that highlighted the program designed highlights the simplification of the maneuver fleet management because "instead of handle 10-15 people so disconnected, everything goes into an integrated system."

For its part, the coordinator of the seminar and professor UPCT, Socorro Garcia, said that such actions "are very interesting" researcher level, since the shortcomings has a university, can afford another and vice versa.

Throughout the day, researchers have addressed different scenarios such as having to do with models location facilities, models of multi-criteria decision, such as decision problems when multiple criteria with vague or inaccurate information and calculation route, where logistics and routes with drones are included.
