The People's University of Cartagena reaches the districts and councils (11/10/2016)

The workshops of the People's University also reach the districts and councils of Cartagena thanks to the varied program of activities organized one of the most established institutions of the city in the field of training, the People's University.

Councillor for Culture, Education and Equality, David Martinez, has been in charge of presenting today, October 11, this new project at the Palace Hall.

The mayor was accompanied by the director of the People's University, José Macián.

David Martinez stressed that it is for the government team very important to approach the districts and councils, and with initiatives like this, the People's University reaches every corner of the municipality.

Thus, according to Martinez, the People's University continues to create new ways and joining forces for training.

Under the slogan The People's University in your neighborhood, is offered to the districts and county a total of one hundred free workshops for training purposes to enable citizens to develop learning creative techniques, and discover new skills, while developing their potential and improve their relations group.

These workshops will be held in the months of October, November and December.

The workshops offered are of varied themes to cover a range of tastes and creative possibilities as Jewellery and Jewellery Recycled, Eco-Christmas Ornaments, customization and Costume Design Artistic Learning to Flirt, Art and Nature in three dimensions, Make-Up, Theatre, Start the Management Sewing Machine, papier-mâché Workshop, drum Circle, Laughter Therapy, Decorative Boxes and Dance.

There are many neighborhood councils that have already shown interest in participating, as well as associations and groups of districts and councils as the Mediterranean Construction, Widening Almarjal, Llano Beal, Perín-Galifa, Albujón, Pozo Estrecho, Quarries, Mills Marfagones , alums, El Algar, Vista Alegre, Slum San Gines, Barrio Peral, Slum José María Lapuerta, Cabo de Palos, El Algar, La Palma, Los Ports de Arriba, Slum La Concepcion, La Aljorra, Los Dolores, St. Lucia, The Mateos, Lo Campano, El Bohio, the ports of Santa Barbara, Urbanisation Santiago and Cartagena town.

The mayor of Culture added that all associations that show interest in participating may do so not because it is a closed program.

Finally, José Macián, he added that these free workshops began last Friday, October 7, with workshops Make-up makeup and characterization in the Strait of San Gines and Eco-friendly Christmas decorations in Perín.

Both workshops, according Macián have achieved remarkable success of participation and have met the expectations.
