The Reading, Thinking, Imagining about 34 cultural proposals to the Luzzy for this quarter (06/10/2016)

The Reading, Thinking, Imagining cultural program returns in a new quarterly edition that will bring the Centro Cultural Ramón Alonso Luzzy a variety of literary genres, together with music and conferences.

The new program, which will run from October to December 2016, was presented this morning hand Councillor for Culture, David Martinez, who stressed the commitment to gender equality in the culture, which is reflected in the balanced representation of both genders in the guests.

A total of 34 proposals offered by the Department of Culture and Equality of the City of Cartagena, among which are the novel, short stories, essays and poetry, but there will be space for music, lectures and exhibitions.

Among the authors that will bring culture to the Luzzy are Cartagena as Juan Jose Lara with the novel Bodies and more bodies, Antonio Parra with his journalistic essay armchair Patio, or Maria Teresa Cervantes Crossing the feelings narrating poetry.

Intending to promote thought and reflection, Cartagena Think association works in the programming of Read, think, imagine approaching different personalities as Carlos Berzosa at a conference on the European Union, journalist Ana Isabel Bernal approaching a presentation on the communication and technological change, or a talk about citizen participation and democratic cities hand journalist and writer Bernardo Gutierrez.

The program also has the support of various associations and faculties as the People's University, Polytechnic University of Cartagena and the University of Murcia, as well as municipal libraries or Memory Historical Association, which will bring a concert of songs of exile and freedom or Lorca murder 80 years later.

Councillor for Culture, David Martinez, said that this is a very complete program, which hopes to collect a warm welcome as in previous editions.

The first date in El Luzzy of Read, Think, Imagine will take place on Thursday 13 October with glasses of fortunata cat, Juana Maria Gonzalez, a collection of stories intended for all who dream of a world where children are future sensitive citizens, critical and responsible.

The author Sergio Canovas, also with children's themes, will be in charge of closing the quarterly program on Wednesday 16 December with the gift of Baltasar.
