Experts in architecture and building regional and national projects addressed in the UPCT (04/10/2016)

The School of Architecture and Building Engineering (ETSAE) of the Polytechnic University of Cartagena has organized two cycles of conferences for the first semester so that students come into contact with renowned architects and building engineers to regional and national levels.

The first cycle, called 'Thinking and doing architecture.

Think and act 'will begin on October 19 with the presentation of Paredes and Pedrosa, a study made by Ignacio Pedrosa and Ángela García de Paredes, both professors in the Department of Architectural Design at the School of Architecture of Madrid, who have participated in many architecture biennales such as Venice and are authors of works such as the City of Valdemaqueda, Teatro Valle Inclán in Madrid, Almeria Archaelogical Museum, Auditorium Peñíscola or La Olmeda, among others.

The presentation will be at 12.30 pm in the Graduate Hall of Agronomists.

In this first lecture series will also speak on November 2 Langarita and Navarro, also professors at the Polytechnic University of Madrid and have won awards including the Mies van der Rohe 2013, the prize of the XII Biennial of Spanish Architecture and Urbanism, the FAD 2012 and AR + D Award for Emerging Architecture 2012, among others.

On November 23 he will attend the UPCT Carlos Arroyo, owner of a study of Architecture in Madrid that places special emphasis on

innovation and sustainable development and works both for Spain and for countries like France, Belgium and Argentina.
