A total of 3,198 people visited yesterday, Sunday 25 September, the excavations of the Roman Forum in the open day Cartagena Port of Cultures held for citizens to check the progress of the second phase of this deposit.

In total, we celebrate 14 guided tours, said the president of Cartagena Port of Cultures, Ana Belén Castejon.
This second phase of the excavations, which finance the Repsol and Cartagena Port of Cultures Foundation, takes place in the sacral area of â€‹â€‹the temple of Isis, where they have excavated the late Roman levels and recovered the three chapels and all the original environment of the temple , including large tanks that are in the basement, linked to dedicated to the goddess rituals.
Moreover, more than 5,709 people visited the other sites of Cartagena Port of Cultures in the open day held yesterday on the occasion of the Festival of Carthaginians and Romans.
In total, there were more than 8,907 visitors who toured the facilities, of which 36% visited the Roman Forum;
20% Roman Theatre;
10% the Castillo de la Concepción;
10% Refuges of the Civil War;
6% the House of Fortune;
4% the Punic Wall and 4% Fort Christmas.
Half of the visitors were from Cartagena, 39% were domestic tourists and 12% were foreigners.
It is the open day of the deposits of Port of Cultures has attracted more visitors doors.
