Local Police Cartagena controlled a total of 1,155 vehicles during the special campaign traffic control safety belts and SRI conducted since 12 to 18 September
Controls were performed in different parts of the city, preferably in districts and councils, coinciding with the start of the school year.
The local police officers who have controlled cars, taxis, buses and freight vehicles, seat belt use and child correctly retention systems.
With this preventive campaign has sought to raise awareness of all drivers and passengers that the seat belt is a basic and fundamental element of road safety and reduces by half the risk of death in case of accident.
Awareness of belt use and SRI is quite clear, since only six drivers have been reported during this campaign not to use these elements of road safety,
