A book traces the recovery process Barrio Roman Forum during the past 35 years (16/09/2016)

This morning took place the presentation of this compilation book by the mayor of Cartagena, Jose Lopez;

Vice President of the Repsol Foundation, Ignacio Egea;

Archaeology director, José Miguel Noguera, and the technical director of archeology and architecture of the project, Andres Canovas.

Culture, David Martinez;

the general coordinator of Archaeological Heritage, Maria del Carmen Berrocal, and the manager of Port of Cultures, Agustina Martinez, along with other archaeologists, architects and restorers who have collaborated in editing.

Through its more than two hundred pages, this volume edited by the City of Cartagena through Cartagena Port of Cultures, 395 illustrations succeed, from photographs to computer graphics, showing the work of heritage restoration, conservation, restoration and musealization exceptional archaeological heritage.

Conceived as a work of high very visual disclosure is intended to raise awareness of the general public, but also to technicians and specialists, archaeological work done at the site, addressing the analysis and study of it, thus demonstrating the importance for Cartagena.

The book was financed by the amount of the National Award for Restoration and Conservation of Cultural Property received by the project Pinwheel in 2012 by the Ministry of Education, Culture and Sport, which highlighted the quality of a multidisciplinary intervention that includes archeological research, restoration of cultural property, musealization assembly and dissemination, with a major component of social participation.

At the end of the volume, a final chapter contains a total of 29 catalog cards with the study of a selection of archaeological materials and graphic documentation on the cover and some criticism on the same architecture specialists is presented.
