The Route of the Sentinels this weekend recalls the story of Carthaginians and Romans (14/09/2016)

Sport, solidarity and the history of Cartagena this weekend, 17 and 18 September join in the Third Route of the Sentinels, which will travel 100 kilometers on the southeast coast of the Mediterranean with the argument of the Second Punic War and Carthaginians.

The City of Cartagena and the Diabetic Association of Cartagena, Sodicar, organized this event jointly and severally to raise funds for the association.

One of the main goals of this non-competitive race is to give visibility to diabetes and encourage physical exercise for good control and prevention.

The start will take place at the Port of Cartagena at 19.55, after a short dramatization from the enclosure Carthaginians and Romans port, and tour Arx Asdrubalis, past Mount Ash, lighthouse Cabo de Palos lighthouse station , to Encaņizada, Demolished, Horadada, Torrevieja Cabo Roig towers up.

The arrival is scheduled for September 18 the monument to the Mediterranean Cultures around 13:00 hours, totaling about 17 hours to perform.

There will be refreshment points in Cala Cortina, Portmán, Faro Cabo de Palos, Encaņizada Tower, Puerto Deportivo de San Pedro del Pinatar, Torre de la Horadada and Cabo Roig.

You can also help by buying kilometers or milestones through a donation which is 10 euros per kilometer, whose proceeds will go to a diabetes education activity.

Proceeds will go to benefit the Second Conference ACD (Learn, Share and Enjoy), aimed at families of children with diabetes up to 18 years.

This project began last year and is to spend a weekend of 7, 8 and 9 October in a hotel Eagles for families to learn from each other, share experiences and enjoy together.
