Cartagena will have a modernist market in early November (09/09/2016)

The Local Government Board, which met this morning under the chairmanship of Mayor, Jose Lopez, has approved the tender for the installation in streets and squares of the historic center of a modernist market during days 4, 5 and 6 November.

As explained by the mayor, it is the usual medieval market, which from now on will change themed every year, according to the celebrations of the City.

This time will be a modernist market, coinciding with the celebration of the Year of Modernism.

Next year is expected to be dedicated to the Age of Enlightenment, the conclusion of which the mayor has announced that already are beginning to prepare various activities around the figure of Carlos III and Arsenal.

The installation of the modernist market will tender for a starting price of thousand euros.

EARLY REDEMPTION OF TWO MILLION DEBT

Another issue approved by the Board of Governors has been the redemption of just over two million municipal debt remaining under the positive cash 2015.
