Councilman Sports City of Cartagena, Ricardo Segado, closed on the morning of Friday, July 29, the Campaign Swimming that has developed throughout the month of July in the municipal swimming pools of the House of Youth, urbanization Mediterranean, La Aljorra, Wssell Guimbarda and Pozo Estrecho, and who have benefited nearly a thousand children and youth.
The main objective of the campaign has been teaching swimming and motivate participants in outdoor sports, enjoying the sun as a source of health and always with an educational-recreational approach.
From the area of ​​promotion and management of sports it is prepared and the implementation of the program with educational criteria that adapt teaching methodology to each age level is studied.
More than 14 monitors swimming, 8 lifeguards and qualified service personnel for treatment and maintenance of water facilities belonging to the Department of Sports, along with associates, have been responsible for carrying out this service.
During this last day Sunday, the mayor took the opportunity to deliver the diplomas that accredit and recognize the efforts made by these participants who have learned to swim and also could enjoy a family aquatic party where parents and students joined.
ACTIVITIES DURING AUGUST
The summer campaign continues with swimming courses during August and sport activities in the arena located throughout the coast of Cartagena on the beaches of La Manga, Cabo de Palos, Isla Plana and La Azohía and tennis in Cala Flores and Los Nietos, in addition to the many popular races in the councils of Cabo de Palos, El Llano del Beal and El Algar.
