The Cartagena gastronomic Flavoured Sea near the city freshness and quality of fish Aquaculture (14/07/2016)

Nine restaurants will cook their best dishes with fish aquaculture in Cartagena with sea flavor, the second gastronomic events offer menus and tapas in the city from 15 to 23 July.

The aim of this culinary event is to promote aquaculture fish that produce the coast of Murcia and show sutextura, freshness and quality.

The Cartagena conference flavored sea have been submitted by the Councillor for Tourism and Fisheries, Obdulia Gómez, President of Hostec, Juan Jose Lopez, President of the Federation of Aquaculture in the Region of Murcia, Juan Manuel Aguirre and the head service Fisheries and Aquaculture, Emilio Maria Dolores.

Organized by the City of Cartagena and the Association of Employers of Hospitality and Accommodation Tourist Cartagena and Shire (HOSTECAR) with the collaboration of the Association of Aquaculture in the Region of Murcia (FARM), the conference takes establishments in the neighborhood fishing St. Lucia and Puerto Maritime a wide variety of menus, with prices ranging between 12 and 18 euros, and tapas at a price of 2 euros.

The nine restaurants that cook these fish will be the Patacha, Mare Nostrum, Varadero, Roofing Netherlands, Saint Lucia, Route of Santiago, La Marina, Mares Bravas and Chanquete, offering one of the healthiest products of the Mediterranean diet menus.

The novelty of this second edition lies in the flagship product, which is the Aquaculture fish raised on the coast of the Region of Murcia.

To give the seas taste of our coasts, Cartagena flavored sea coincides with the Sea of ​​Music, with the aim that visitors, tourists and spectators can enjoy these menus and tapas, as reported by the Councillor for Tourism and Fisheries Obdulia Gomez.

In addition, the days are framed in traveling shows Aquaculture discover it, exhibited at the National Museum of Underwater Archaeology ARQUA.

Hostec president, Juan Jose Lopez, said the importance of fish in the area known through bars, highlighting the need for such events to promote the product.

As indicated by the head of the Fisheries and Aquaculture, Emilio Maria Dolores, Murcia is the second region in fish production with 11,700 tons at present, a figure which by 2020 aims to be increased to about 15 thousand tons.

In advance of the conference, today, Thursday, July 14, at 18:00, there will be a live cooking show one of the dishes that will be served in the gastronomic meeting Cartagena flavored sea.

The event will take place at the door of the Fishermen's Association and attended by the Councillor for Tourism, Obdulia Gómez, and representatives of the association Hostec and Aquaculture.

Besides having a counter by the event sponsor Estrella Levante, participating restaurants will show their different dishes.
