The Atalaya Castle and the land that houses it is already owned by the City (22/06/2016)

The City of Cartagena is already owned Atalaya Castle and the plot of 30 hectares that houses it, once it has been signed the agreement on free transfer on Wednesday, the mayor, Jose Lopez, and the special delegate of Economy and Finance in the Region of Murcia, representing the Ministry of Finance and Public Administration, owner of the fortress to date, Justo Parejo.

Thus culminates a process that began in September 2015 with the request of the mayor of Cartagena in response to a neighbor Barrio del Barrio de la Concepción, Juan Vidal Garcia, who for years has been claiming that the Atalaya Castle pass into the hands of Cartagena, the ministerial order was signed on 24 May.
