The author Isabel María Abellán presents in his novel The Luzzy, Isidro, Story of the concentration camp of Albatera (16/06/2016)

The Read, Think, Imagine, program host on Friday, June 17, the presentation of the novel Isidro, Story of Albatera concentration camp, from the hand of its author Isabel Maria Abellan.

This story is a story of continuous improvement among people condemned to live with the proximity of death, the conviction that they would survive encouraged them to help, getting repression not defeated.

The presentation will take place at 20:00 pm in the Adult Library Cultural Center Ramón Alonso Luzzy, where the author will be accompanied by Professor Vicente Cervera, Fernando Fernández Villa of the Editorial La Fea Bourgeoisie, and Pepa Martinez of the Association the historical memory of Cartagena.

This is a true story.

Isidro is an anarchist militiaman in Barcelona in the early days of the Civil War.

In this city, brigadiers come from all parts of the world;

including Käthe, a young woman who flees Nazi Germany.

So begins a story that develops between the Aragon front, the Barcelona convulsed 1937 and a concentration camp, the racer, which are transported from the port of Alicante, all persons who do not get into exile to end of the war.

Maria Isabel Abellan is Professor of Geography and History.

He currently teaches at the IES Alfonso X El Sabio de Murcia.

He has published a historical novel, the horizon line, inspired by the harsh living conditions in the camp of Albatera, Alicante, during the year 1939. Also two books of short stories: The last winter and other stories and disturbed silence.

With this last work was winner of the Third Edition of Vivendia International Prize for Story, as well as a finalist for Best Murciano Book of the Year in 2008. He has participated in two literary anthologies: The Tell-Tale Heart, anthology of Murcia narrators, and 13 for the 21, Anthology of New Writers.

He has collaborated, also, in the Irreverent literary magazines and paper Lunas.
