In recent days, the area councilor Quality of Life, Francisco Calderon, and the mayor of the area of ​​Culture and Heritage, Ricardo Segado, have held several meetings with Caridad García, directors of CD La Manga, who has submitted a draft sports promotion and awareness among young people about the negative effects of alcohol and drugs.
After this round of talks, municipal representatives have explained that the City Council has made available to the CD La Manga to promote such campaigns among the kids in our town traversal way, so that would be involved various councils.
As stated Garcia, the idea emerged after the accident suffered by a young member of CD La Manga last year, who together with technicians of the respective Councils and other specialists will be responsible for conducting talks awareness and promotion of sports activities as leisure alternative to alcohol and drugs.
Calderon and Segado have stated that the intention of the local government is, at first, perform these campaigns among students 15 to 18 years Cartagena institutes to later expand this project at regional and national level.
They have also said that soon a meeting with the Minister of Education of the Autonomous Community, Maria Isabel Sanchez-Mora will be asked to explain the project.
