HISTORY OF DANCE.
From Prehistory to the s XIX is an informative text in which six authors have tried to stay away from the great stories about the history of dance in the West that have been happening in the Anglo-Saxon and French-speaking areas, understood as the intellectual authority in dance, to weave a story from his own position.
In this book, each of the authors has a different training, all deeply linked to the world of dance either as artists, teachers, choreographers and researchers, and speak to us from a very personal view regarding historical research of dance .
It is a choral work in which the issue has been very careful not only in the depth of its content but also in form.
"Publishing a book of history of dance today supposed to accommodate multiple individual looks and allow both hybridizations and overflows as deeper tastings on land past very specific. Georgina Cayuela has a degree in Dance and Art History.
She has been director and editor of Dance Camargo (1996-1998) and coordinator, editor and publisher of the magazine Time Dance (2005 to 2011).
