Citizens visit the Foundation Shop Asylum of San Pedro in the neighborhood Lo Campano and Home Torre Nazareth in Santa Ana (21/04/2016)

Citizen spokesman Cartagena, Manuel Padin, visited the facilities Foundation San Pedro Store Asylum has in the Cartagena neighborhood of Lo Campano.

This foundation, with over 120 years of history, is a national leader in the fight for social inclusion of the most disadvantaged.

The action of this group branches into three major lines of work: training center, shelter for people affected by HIV, and the area of ​​international cooperation.

In the training center, located in the neighborhood of Lo Campano, classes (welding, socio-cultural, or management and administration) to people with little or no training coming mostly from neighborhoods with social difficulties are taught.

Moreover, in the area of ​​international cooperation Foundation Shop Asylum San Pedro has developed since 2004 the project WEND BE NE DO, following the approach of the Charles Fraternité de Foucauld of Burkina Faso on the serious problem of HIV-AIDS this sub-Saharan country.

This program benefits today more than 300 people, and it starts by tracking the villages and contacting people living with HIV-AIDS.

Group meetings, virus testing, health monitoring, counseling or recovery work of self-esteem are some of the activities.
