Social criticism and revolution set the tone of the play Children of Ulysses, in which its author, Manuel Gomez Angel Espada, certifies the success already obtained in his previous book, Cooking lotus.
According to the foreword of Pilar Adon, it is a collection of poems of this time, the here and now, in which each verse is a reflection of outrage and helplessness that dot the landscape of lost ones that run through.
It is the fruit of a time submissions but also rebellions, setbacks and discoveries, crushing and reinventions.
It seeks to raise his voice to claim what was offered to us years ago in exchange for effort and sacrifice, announcing that path already traveled, but the expected reward has not come.
He adds that in the book we find a vision that recreates the scenes of reality and is driven by them, the nearest everyday, tempered by the strong voice of a complaint arising from the depths.
The presentation of the work will reach the Centro Cultural Ramón Alonso Luzzy on Thursday April 14 as part of the programming Read, think and imagine in a ceremony that will start at 20.00 and the Angel Manuel Gomez will be accompanied by Juan de Dios García .
THE AUTHOR
Born in Murcia in 1972 and settled eight years ago in Badajoz, Angel Manuel Gomez Espada is a renowned writer and poet, as evidenced by the prestigious literary competitions and has won numerous collaborations in newspapers and magazines.
He graduated in Hispanic Studies from the University of Murcia and co-director of the literary magazine The Dialogue of the Dogs.
Collaborates in Radio Days Radio Candil (Almería) and maintained in the Diario Hoy de Extremadura whoever the Sálvese column.
Swords Gomez is the author of several books of poetry and fiction and has been translated into French, Portuguese and Polish.
