Equality joins acts in homage to Cervantes with exposure to ink (07/04/2016)

Councillor for Equality, David Martinez, has been commissioned to inaugurate the exhibition Fragments cervantinos counted from Carthago by José García Marín, in a ceremony that was held at the Municipal Archives Artillery Park, which will be open until April 30 .

In the presentation the mayor has been accompanied by Maria Jose Mercader, coordinator of Equality, and by María Escudero, Ph.D., a sociologist in charge of the exhibition.

Both have used to highlight the role of women in the work lospersonajes gentleman of La Mancha, as many are unknown.

This exhibition is part of the series Don Quixote as a resource for equality, which is part of the programming for the fourth centenary of the death of Cervantes designed jointly by the City of Cartagena and the UNED.

The work presents Don Quixote miniature copied to ink the first and second part, with letters of different sizes and different colors, including drawings that highlight the artistic nature of the sample, not without a great educational value are interleaved.

During the opening of the exhibition there were two scores of unpublished piano, which was dedicated to the author of the exhibition of miniature Quixote by José Fernández Pacheco, who, like Garcia Marin, was a resident of Los Dolores.
