The first procession of Spain will mark the beginning of an intense day in Cartagena (16/03/2016)

The first procession of Spain in Cartagena will dawn on March 18, Good Friday.

It will be the beginning of an intense day filled acts and processions in which the city will celebrate the great day of his popular patron saint, the Virgin of Charity, and the beginning of a singular Easter ten days, declared of International Tourist Interest.

At half past three, from around the Old Cathedral, depart the early riser of all the processions, the Way of the Cross of the Brotherhood of Christ Relief.

Founded by the Duke of Veragua in XVII century, it is an austere penitential procession accompanied only by a dull drum and prayer stations along the main streets of the Old Town.

In it the images of the Virgin of Solitude and the Christ of Consuelo Moreno procesionan.
