La Jornada Contracting entrepreneurs about public administration (11/03/2016)

The Hall of the Chamber of Commerce welcomed this morning the Technical Procurement Day with public administrations.

A profitable practice, organized by the City of Cartagena, the Chamber of Commerce and the Legal Circle of Cartagena, whose obejtivo was to inform the public about government contracting procedures to facilitate the formalization of proposals.

The opening of the conference has been made by the mayor, Jose Lopez, the Councillor for Finance, Procurement and Heritage, Isabel García, President of the Chamber of Commerce, Miguel Martinez, and the president of the Legal Circle, Rafael Martinez.

This initiative has moved to business and professional information about the most significant practical issues of administrative procurement procedures, to prevent the ignorance of the law can be an obstacle to formalize proposals.

The event has seen several presentations on practical aspects of recruitment, social clauses or types of contracts among other things, by the hand of professional municipal technicians and recruitment issues, comoJuan Angel Ferrer, the lawyer Vicente Perez, or the director of the law Office of City Hall, Francisco Pagán.

Jose Lopez wanted to point out the need for adaptation of the administration to the new times, and thanks to the new form of recruitment, the last quarter has made the City a savings of more than 250,000 euros.

In this sense, the mayor recalled the opening of the local administration to provide opportunities for all citizens and businesses, without preference for any of them, seeking to give better service to citizens.

For its part, the Councillor of Finance and Procurement, Isabel Garcia, has indicated the need of the day and quemuchas companies were on the road when contracting with the administration by the lack of legislation or processes.

So focused from the local administration, it has managed to combine business and part public with the idea to involve the society of legal knowledge applied to the business and clarify any points about contests and public procurement, a profitable process but not free of complexity, as indicated by the chairman of the Legal Circle, Rafael Martinez.
