The local government and the College of Podiatrists collaborate for the benefit of the largest in the region (03/03/2016)

The area councilor Quality of Life, Francisco Calderon, and the delegate mayor of Social Services, Carmen Martin, have held a working meeting this morning, March 3, with the College of Podiatrists of the region, represented by its Vice President Francisco Javier Barranco, his secretary, Rosa Clemente and elcolaborador College, Francisco Diaz Duran.

The meeting, which took place in the administrative building of San Miguel, has laid the foundation for the next partnership between the local administration and the College of Podiatrists that will materialize through unconvenio.

Thus, the City of Cartagena act as liaison between the professional association and entities of older people in the District of Cartagena in order that these associations can benefit so accessible and efficient, the service provided by the group.

Moreover, the possibility to offer this health provision in senior centers shuffled.

To achieve this, their headquarters should be authorized by the Ministry of Health of the CARM for this purpose, integrating them in the register of centers, services and establishments (RES).

College members have emphasized the great existing tune with the local government, the time welcomed by foster a relationship that will benefit the most people over the region, through a formal and institutionalized collaboration.

The mayor, Jose Lopez, also participated in this event, reiterating the municipal support for the initiative.

The Regional College of Podiatrists, part of the Assembly of the General Council of Associations of Podiatrists of Spain, is primarily aimed at achieving adequate satisfaction of general interest relating to the exercise of podiatry, order and monitor the exercise of the profession within the framework established by law and within the scope of its powers, to cooperate with public authorities in regulating the general conditions of exercise of the profession, ensure that the professional activity is adapted to the needs and interests of the society with an adequate level of quality and control the activity of collegiate / as is subject to the ethical rules of podiatry, among others.
