Arrest a highly specialized group in opening locks (25/02/2016)

The two detained Georgian nationality, carrying false documents to avoid identification.

The National Police proceeded last February 17 arrest of two citizens of Georgian nationality and 22 and 59 years, as the authors of 14 robberies in homes located in our downtown area.

The investigation began in January, when a series of burglaries affecting certain area of ​​the city, particularly central and Ensanche were detected.

These thefts were committed using different methods through the doors of homes violated.

With the first signs the agents could see that the authors were different cells or execution units carrying the tools needed to, depending on the opportunity, use one or other instruments (plastic, screwdriver, wrench, picks, including through technical Bumping).

For this reason various prevention and monitoring devices were initiated by uniformed units and assigned to the Brigade of the Judicial Police and Public Safety, in areas of special tort incidence countryman.

Fruit of police reinforcements made for the arrest of the perpetrators of these thefts, was the location of two people immediately raised alarms all researchers, being subjected to close scrutiny that led to his arrest when had just committed his last robbery force inhabited house, carrying all the necessary tools in his possession to force the doors besides the spoils of theft, which consisted of jewelry and cash.

Once in police officers conducting the investigation they proved, carrying false documents of another nationality being his true origin, Georgia.

Similarly they found that this was a highly organized criminal group, acting on a transnational basis, itinerant nature, and specialized in robberies in inhabited house.

This group would consist of various bonds and displaced clans from their country of origin to different Spanish cities, bonds that can be formed by two or three men, with the specific role of running the offense, which are directed and coordinated by other people occupying a link of greater responsibility within the organization, such as organizational tasks, funding, logistical support and division of property.

His itinerant included the permanent change according to needs arising from the arrests of some of its components, administrative expulsions, travel, constant address changes never betray, besides observing self-protection measures in order to hamper the police work.

Detainees were specialists in the following criminal techniques:

Slip: Technique used that requires some skill.

Bumping: A technique used by professional locksmiths who used to open a master key locks.

Breaking bowlers or PICOLORO: The technique of commercial locksmith and more used today, consisting of the direct attack on the cylinder or lock cylinder and by force, reach their fracture.

Finally, upon completion of police inquiries by the Group Theft Police Station of the National Police of Cartagena, the detainees were brought to justice who ordered his immediate imprisonment.
