Fire and 061 come together to update their knowledge in traffic accidents (29/06/2010)

Throughout the whole morning, members of Fire, Fire in Action and the 061 have worked in a joint exercise desencarcelación of victims trapped in their cars, caused by a traffic accident.

This exercise involved the collision of two vehicles and the rescue of victims in cars circulating helped by the staff.

The event featured the Director of Public Safety, Carlos Nieto, and has reported that in this simulation involving a total of 45 troops, 25 belonging to the 061 and the other firefighters from different cities in Spain, Ciudad Real, Elche and Murcia.

Nieto explained that these tests on desencarcelación, extraction and displacement of victims of trafficking, they will expand their knowledge and training, improving safety at work.

In addition, the Director of Public Safety has stressed that before the continuous technical and technological developments undertaken in the car, with this drill is intended to inform personnel of possible techniques and methods to protect a more safe and effective victims of trafficking.

Therefore, Nieto stressed that desencarelación techniques are changing from time to time and this drill helps solve complications that may arise in the course of work.

Finally, these actions, such as the desencarcelación of the victim in an accident, has become one of the main reasons for departure of the firefighters after the fire.
