One year the Cartagena Film Festival announces the filmmakers to submit their work in one of two categories of the thirty-ninth edition:
- Short FICC/39:
This is the section of FICC for domestic and foreign filmmakers.
The short film winner is awarded $ 3,000.
- MURcine FICC/39:
A special category was created to promote films made by filmmakers from Murcia.
Selected short films will be screened at the Festival in a special session and will be eligible for prizes MURcine, endowed with 1,500 euros (Carabela de Plata) and 500 euros (Submarino Peral).
New this year the works may be submitted online through the FICC enabled server for this purpose, making it easier for filmmakers to send their films.
The period ends on September 30, 2010
